Honey

Honey is a 3-year-old Boxer mix who is looking for her forever home! We believe Honey may have survived the flood in Kerrville, and a kind soul has been caring for her, providing her with good nutrition and love while she waits to find her perfect match. Honey is potty trained and is a very loving dog who bonds deeply with her people. She gets along well with dogs her size and is an energetic girl who enjoys car rides and being around people. Honey is also a lower-shedding dog, which is a bonus!

Ideal Home

Honey would thrive in an active and outdoorsy home where she can be the center of attention. She loves people and considers everyone a friend. She is currently living with cats, but she is very interested in them, so her ideal home would be one without feline companions. She would also prefer to be the only dog in the household.

Ongoing Health

Honey had some scratches and a wound on her front left leg. She is scheduled for a spay surgery soon and will have a follow-up vet visit for her leg. It's possible her leg may have been broken and healed on its own. She has also lost some muscle around her rear due to a period of not having enough food, but she is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her foster home.

Training & Support

Honey is good on a leash and loves to join in on outdoor adventures. She has a lot of love to give and would make an amazing family pet.

Transporation

Honey is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also arrange transport to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont, or anywhere along the East Coast.
