Athena

Hi friends! My name is Athena, and I'm a beautiful, 3-year-old female German Shepherd with a heart of gold. I've had a bit of a rough start, bouncing around in a high-kill shelter where I was only valued for my puppies. Thankfully, I was rescued and brought into the loving care of IDGSR! Now I'm ready for my forever home, and I'm so excited to find my person.

I'm an affectionate, friendly, and lovely gal who enjoys tummy rubs, playing in the yard, and exploring new sights and smells. I'm fairly mellow, but I also love going on walks, hikes, and adventures. If you enjoy gardening, road trips, cooking, or watching soap operas, I'll be your devoted shadow! I'm house and kennel trained and generally a good listener, but I'm eager to continue my education with some standard obedience training.

Ideal Home

I'd love a home with teenage or adult humans, and I'm looking for a nice, large male dog to be my playmate. I'm not able to live with cats.

Ongoing Health

All of our dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, and monthly preventatives, and are spayed or neutered.

Training & Support

I'm eager to learn and would benefit from standard obedience training to earn my "PhD" in good behavior.

Transporation

I'm currently being fostered in Greeneville, Tennessee. We do offer transport to the East Coast for an additional fee.
