Melody - Beautiful Poet

Melody is a beautiful, golden-toned German Shepherd, estimated to be between 5 and 6 years old, weighing around 60 lbs. She's a thoughtful, observant, and intelligent girl who was found to be quite the poet! Melody enjoys walks and is excellent on a leash, and she absolutely loves to play fetch. After a good play session, she's happy to settle in for cuddles and snuggles. Melody gets along well with horses, cows, goats, and donkeys. She is selective with other dogs, preferring smaller dogs over larger ones, and would likely do best in a home as the only canine companion.

Ideal Home

Melody would love a home where she can explore the world by your side and enjoy plenty of cuddles in the evenings. A home with a fenced yard would be wonderful for her ball-playing and exploring. She would likely be best in a home without other dogs, or with a small, calm dog.

Melody is a well-behaved girl who walks beautifully on a leash. She is a proficient ball player and enjoys a good cuddle.

Transportation

Melody is currently being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX. She is considered an "out of town pet" and is not at our main location. Rescue transport is available and comes through your area once a month. Transport is provided by AJC Rescue & Transport and involves heated/air-conditioned vans with a team of two drivers who will update you on your dog's progress. Dogs are crated during transport and will stop for breaks.
