Meet Katy: So Gentle and Absolutely Adores Kids and Dogs
Katy is a 2-year-old, 12 lb Chi Poodle Mix who is a compact package of pure joy! With her soft curls and soulful eyes, she is as sweet on the inside as she is on the outside. Katy is a true socialite who has never met a stranger. Whether it is a new person, a child, or another dog, her default setting is love. She is neither bossy nor shy; she simply fits right into the group. Her foster mom says she is incredibly easy to care for and has an inherently gentle soul.
Katy has a medium energy level that is perfectly balanced. She is a world-class athlete when it comes to playing chase in the yard or retrieving toys. She has a hilarious habit of taking every single toy out of the bin, leaving a charming trail of fluff and rubber leading straight to her bed. If you have a playful dog at home, Katy would be thrilled to have a partner in crime for backyard adventures.
Katy is doing wonderful with her house training and is happy to follow the lead of other dogs when it is time to go outside. She is a quiet girl who only barks to let you know if someone is at the door. When the sun goes down, Katy transforms into the ultimate snuggle bug. She currently sleeps right in bed with her foster family and other dog siblings, tucked in close for a good night's rest. She can be a tiny bit shy when first being picked up, but once she is in your arms, she melts into a puddle of affection.
Ideal Home
Katy's dream home includes a fenced yard where she can run, a family (children included!) who will toss her toys, and ideally another playful dog to keep her company. She does experience a tiny bit of "FOMO" (fear of missing out) when you leave, but she settles down quickly and waits patiently for your return.
Ongoing Health
Katy is healthy, spayed, current on her vaccinations and microchipped.
Training & Support
Katy is doing wonderfully with her house training and is generally a quiet dog. She may need a little reassurance when being picked up initially, but quickly warms up to affection.
