Hanky is an absolute bundle of pure joy, a happy-go-lucky, friendly, and affectionate boy who is always ready to make a new best friend. Estimated to be just under a year old, he perfectly blends his established happy personality with the sweet wiggles of puppyhood. He's been living in a foster home, which means he's house and crate trained and has a great foundation of manners. His foster family gushed about him, saying he stole their hearts and is the new mascot for their school bus stop! Hanky adores people and will happily sit at your feet. He's super sweet with children, never jumping on them, and just wants to be near them. He's also a social butterfly with other dogs and cats, wanting to play and be in the middle of all the fun. Hanky doesn't want any drama; he just wants to have a good time! He greets everyone as his most favorite person and soaks up affection, guaranteed to make you smile. He already knows "sit" and is eager to please, making him a dream to train with treats.
Ideal Home
Hanky would thrive in an active family that enjoys walks, hikes, and outings. Older children would be a better match as he's still mastering his enthusiastic greetings, but he will train out of this with consistency.
Ongoing Health
Hanky is a healthy young dog.
Training & Support
Hanky will need continued guidance on leash walking, but he is responsive and sensitive to direction. His eagerness to please and treat motivation make him a quick learner for new skills. He has also shown he can be a cat-compatible household member with guidance and consistency.
