Meet Uncle! 🐾
Uncle is a 1-year-old, 11-pound Chihuahua mix who came to us from a hoarding situation where he received very little human attention. His sister has already found her forever home, and now Uncle is ready for his turn in the spotlight! He can be shy and timid when meeting new people, but with patience and a safe environment, he blossoms into a wonderfully affectionate companion. Watching his confidence grow is incredibly rewarding.
Once he feels secure, Uncle absolutely adores human companionship. He's the perfect lap-sized pup and finds his greatest joy curled up on his person's lap, soaking up all the love. He also loves his toys and enjoys playtime and exploring his surroundings.
Uncle will need slow introductions to new dogs, but he currently co-exists well with dogs of various sizes in his foster home. He is doing great with potty training and car rides, especially enjoying sitting on his foster mom's lap during travel. Crate training is progressing, though he's still learning to love his crate. Given his past, confinement might be a bit scary for him initially.
Uncle has already overcome so much. He's looking for a patient and loving family to give him a chance to thrive. In return, you'll gain a loyal little companion eager to discover the joys of being truly loved. ❤️
