Rufus

Meet Rufus, a 2-year-old, 22-pound Cockapoo/Shih Tzu mix who is as smart and sweet as he is fluffy! Rufus has a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. He was found wandering the streets in Texas, a little scruffy but with a spirit that shone through. Now cleaned up and safe, Rufus is a joyful, affectionate companion eager to find his forever home. At 22 pounds, he's the perfect size for cuddles and "pick me up" moments, and he absolutely adores belly rubs!

Ideal Home

Rufus would thrive in a home with a playful, canine companion, but he would also be happy as an only dog with an active family. Because of his exuberant nature and enthusiasm for life, a home with children over 10 years old would be the best fit for him.

Ongoing Health

Rufus is completely vetted and ready to go! He has been neutered, microchipped, is heartworm negative, and is up-to-date on all vaccinations.

Training & Support

Rufus is already house-trained and crate-trained, especially when kept on a schedule. He knows "sit," comes when called, and is very eager to learn. He's not naughty, just full of life, and will benefit from a loving owner who understands he may need a little time to adjust and settle into his new family.
