About Hunter

Meet Hunter! This handsome 5-year-old purebred chocolate Labrador Retriever is looking for a new best friend. Hunter was surrendered by his family due to unforeseen circumstances as they had to leave the country for their work visas. He's a well-loved boy who is currently in a kennel, dreaming of a cozy home. Hunter is a goofy, big guy who adores playing fetch, getting belly rubs, and splashing in a baby pool. He previously lived with children and was known to be very good and tolerant with them. He enjoyed running in a large fenced yard and going for walks. Hunter even accompanied his dad to work on construction sites, supervising the activity! He's a fantastic car rider, hopping in eagerly for any adventure. His family described him as affectionate, friendly, playful, independent, and confident. He walks well on a leash and politely ignores other dogs, even if they bark at him. He has played off-leash in the yard with a small dog and loved a good game of chase. Hunter is crate-trained and settles down nicely. His previous family reports he was only crated for a few hours during the day and overnight when he was younger, as they were home often. Hunter is very motivated by food and toys and knows several commands, but here's a fun twist – he only responds to commands in Spanish!

Hunter would thrive in a home where he can be active and receive plenty of love and affection.
