About Lola

Meet Lola! This beautiful 1.5-year-old, 60-pound pittie has been failed by humans time and time again. Her story with us began in September 2025 when she was posted online with the heartbreaking caption: "Free dog. Need to get rid of her." Since entering rescue, multiple foster and adoption placements have fallen through, leaving Lola to wonder, over and over again, if anyone was ever going to stay. When you look past her fears, you'll find an incredibly loving, affectionate, and loyal dog who wants nothing more than to belong to someone. Lola doesn't just love her peopleshe loves them with her whole heart. She'll happily curl up beside you on the couch, lean into you for endless belly rubs, follow you from room to room, and simply be content knowing you're nearby. Being with her person is where she feels safe and shes the kind of girl who seeks reassurance to know shes okay. Lola is smart, eager to learn, and incredibly food motivated. She is crate trained, house trained, and already knows commands like sit, paw, and down. She enjoys training because it gives her confidence and direction, and she responds beautifully to calm, consistent leadership. Lola is looking for her last home.

Ideal Home

She would do best with an experienced adopter who understands that trust is earned through patience and commitment. Due to her excitement (she can become mouthy) and strength (she is all muscle), we'd recommend a home with teenagers or adults. She LOVES other dogs and tested fine with cats. A securely fenced yard (6 feet or higher) is preferred, as Lola is capable of jumping them.

Ongoing Health

Her adoption fee is $425 and Lola is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Like many dogs who have experienced repeated upheaval, Lola has developed behaviors rooted in insecurity rather than stubbornness. She has struggled with leash walking after never been walked in the past, impulse control, separation anxiety, and becoming overly protective once she forms a strong attachment. She responds beautifully to calm, consistent leadership.
