Bobbie

Hi there! I'm Bobbie, a approximately 3.5-year-old spayed female with beautiful black and tan markings. I was found as a stray near an elementary school in Houston, TX, and life on the streets was tough. Thankfully, a kind person stepped in and gave me a second chance, bringing me to a loving foster home. I'm still a bit shy around new people, but with patience and understanding, I'm learning to trust and have become quite the spoiled pup with my own comfy dog bed! I love to follow my foster mom around and sometimes even let her pet me. I get along wonderfully with my five foster siblings and enjoy playing with them. I also have a teenage foster family who I'm comfortable with. I'm a house-trained girl and don't need to be crated, and I'm happy to relax at home with my furry friends. I'm not a fan of thunderstorms or rain, and I prefer not to go on walks or be around strangers.

Ideal Home

Bobbie would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly canine companion to help her feel more comfortable. Due to her shy nature, she would do best with respectful and understanding teenagers (13+) and would not be a good fit for small children.

Ongoing Health

Bobbie is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment. She is microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. She has deformed rear feet, but this does not affect her ability to walk or run.

Training & Support

Bobbie is house-trained and doesn't need to be crated. She is still learning to build trust with humans and will always be a shy dog. Patience, understanding, and a calm environment will be key to her continued success.
