Ruger

Meet Ruger, a handsome 5-year-old boy who we think is a Cocker Spaniel blend. He's a gorgeous chocolate brown with a white chest and weighs in at 35 lbs. Ruger can be a bit shy at first and needs some time to warm up to new people, but once he trusts you, he's a total sweetheart. He absolutely adores male figures and can often be found following his foster dad around or cuddling with him in a recliner. If his favorite person isn't around, he'll happily lie by your side or snuggle up in your lap.

Ideal Home

Ruger would be happiest in a home with teenage or older children, as the energy of younger kids might be a bit overwhelming for his shy nature.

Ongoing Health

Ruger is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and is heartworm negative. He is currently on heartworm preventative.

Training & Support

Ruger is largely housetrained and does his business when taken outside throughout the day. He enjoys his walks, which also help him with his potty needs. He's motivated by treats and will happily come inside after going potty just to get one! He doesn't show much interest in dog toys.
