Ben

Meet Ben! This 6 lb. Yorkie/Chihuahua mix is a bundle of personality packed into a tiny body. Ben can be a bit of a contradiction – he’s both timid and snuggly with people, but can also be feisty with dogs who challenge him. He’s an independent explorer who loves spending time outdoors, but he also needs reassurance that you're still around. Ben has a playful spirit and enjoys toys, though he can be a little territorial if another dog tries to steal his favorites. He's a smart cookie who learns quickly and has a lot of love to give to the right family!

Ideal Home

Ben would do best in a home with playful, easy-going dog companions, and an adult-only household or one with older, dog-friendly children. A fenced yard is a must for his outdoor adventures! He needs a patient owner who can help him overcome his occasional quirks and embrace his energetic personality.

Ongoing Health

Ben is healthy and has no ongoing health conditions to report.

Training & Support

Ben is still working on his housetraining and occasionally has accidents overnight. He is also not yet leash-trained. He sometimes needs extra encouragement to walk through doorways. Ben can be a bit barky, so positive reinforcement for quiet behavior would be beneficial.
