Cowboy is a resilient survivor, estimated to be around 2 years old. His past is heartbreaking, having been used as a bait dog and abandoned, enduring severe physical and emotional trauma. Despite his experiences, Cowboy is now safe and receiving the care he deserves. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and is undergoing treatment for heartworm. He can be cautious with other dogs and may do best as the only pet in the household, where he can feel secure. Cowboy also takes time to warm up to men, which is understandable given his past. He is a brave soul who has endured the unthinkable and now deserves unwavering safety, love, and a forever home.

Cowboy may do best as an only dog, where he can finally feel completely safe and at ease. He needs a patient and understanding home that can help him continue to build trust, especially with men.

Cowboy is heartworm positive but has begun treatment and is on the path to recovery. He is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Given his past trauma, Cowboy will need continued patience and positive reinforcement to help him fully overcome his fears and build confidence. It will take time for him to warm up to new people, especially men.
