Lazarus "Lazzie"

This handsome boy is Lazarus, a 3-4 year old, 50 lb. black Lab mix who goes by "Lazzie" to his friends. Lazzie is a volunteer favorite, known for his calm, gentle, and quiet demeanor. He loves to lounge and cuddle with his people and other dogs, and he gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, even living with a chihuahua and a 70 lb. pittie. Lazzie is a social butterfly who enjoyed meeting new people at a recent adoption event, showing his sweet and gentle nature with strangers. He came to us covered in mange and suffering from a respiratory infection, found alone in a ditch. Thankfully, he's now healthy, strong, and strikingly handsome.

Ideal Home

Lazzie would thrive in a home where he can continue to enjoy lounging and cuddling with his family and canine companions. He has shown he is friendly with dogs of all sizes and appears to be likely cat and kid friendly.

Ongoing Health

Lazzie is fully vaccinated and neutered.

Training & Support

Lazzie is kennel trained and potty trained. He is also eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

Lazzie is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and can be coordinated to various states. Please be aware that pickup locations for transported dogs may vary, potentially being across city, county, or state lines. We utilize ground transports with third-party vehicles, and adopters can track their dog's journey using the Life360 app or through Facebook chats.
