Philip is an intelligent, affectionate, and playful 10-month-old Wire Fox Terrier mix, weighing in at 27 lbs. He's a sweet boy who loves treats and forms strong bonds with his people. Once he feels safe, his goofy and loving personality truly shines through! Philip was originally adopted as a puppy but unfortunately had to be rehomed due to a family medical emergency. He arrived in foster care a bit unsure of the world, but with patience and structure, he's blossomed and continues to show more of his loving side every day. He enjoys playtime, exploration, and being part of a pack, but also appreciates quiet downtime.
Ideal Home
Philip would do best in a calm, slower-paced home that can give him the time and space he needs to decompress after adoption. He's not the type of dog who will thrive being immediately introduced to lots of visitors, busy social gatherings, or constant activity. He is looking for a family that understands the importance of patience, structure, and allowing a dog to settle in at his own pace. A home with a predictable routine and patient adopters committed to positive reinforcement training will help Philip continue to gain confidence.
Ongoing Health
Philip is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Philip is leash trained and potty trained, keeping his area clean and adjusting quickly to household routines. He is also crate trained. Like many young dogs who have experienced change and uncertainty, Philip will need a family committed to continuing his journey and helping him feel secure as he adjusts to a new home.
