Maya is a 5-year-old American Bulldog with the sweetest soul and a heart full of love. At 47 pounds, she's the perfect cuddle companion whose favorite thing in the world is simply being with her people. Sadly, Maya hasn't had the easiest life. She appears to have been overused for breeding and spent much of her life giving to others. Now it's finally her turn. Maya deserves a home where she can leave her past behind and enjoy what every dog should have: comfort, affection, attention, and plenty of time to relax with the people who love her. Despite everything she's been through, Maya remains incredibly sweet and loving. She adores snuggling, soaking up attention, and being close to her family. Ideal Home
Maya would do best as the only dog in the home. She can be protective of her food and is not comfortable living with other dogs, so she is searching for a family where she can be the center of attention.
Ongoing Health
Maya requires daily eye drops that will need to continue for the rest of her life. She has also experienced significant hair loss and is currently on the road to recovery. Maya receives special oatmeal baths several times a week, and her coat is slowly but surely growing back. She'll need an adopter willing to continue her care and help her look and feel her best.
