Sweetie

Sweetie is a 1-year-old Pitbull with a heart of gold! She was rescued from a shelter in Lancaster, CA, after being found as a stray. She was lactating but no puppies were found with her, and she was underweight. Despite her past, Sweetie craves affection and closeness to humans. She's gentle, doesn't mind nail trims, and walks well on a leash, not pulling or reacting to her surroundings. Sweetie is also potty-trained, though she prefers to go off-leash, so a fenced yard or enclosed area is ideal. She's shy and would likely do best as the only pet, or with calm, laid-back animals after very slow introductions. Sweetie needs patience as she's still nervous about the world and needs to gain about 7 more pounds. She's scheduled for a spay surgery on 7/17/2024. Despite her challenges, Sweetie is truly as sweet as her name implies!

Ideal Home

Sweetie would thrive in a home that understands her shyness and is willing to take things slow. A fenced yard or an enclosed area for potty breaks is necessary. She would likely do best as the only pet or with mellow, laid-back animals with careful introductions.
