Hassie is a 2-year-old, 41lb bundle of joy who is ready for anything. She'll happily convince you she's eager for every adventure you have planned, but she'll also be the first one curled up beside you on the couch afterward. Like many cattle dogs, Hassie is smart, loyal, and loves to be with her people, but she's more of a professional cuddle buddy than a workaholic. Hassie's story almost ended before it began; she found herself in a North Texas shelter running out of time before a rescue stepped in to give her a second chance. She's dog-friendly, crate trained, potty trained, and always up for an adventure, whether it's a hike, road trip, patio lunch, or just going wherever life takes you. When the fun is over, she's perfectly content to spend the rest of the day relaxing by your side.
Ideal Home
Hassie has natural herding instincts and can be a little too enthusiastic about trying to organize fast-moving little humans. Because of this, she would be happiest in a home with older children or adults who understand and appreciate the quirks that make her breed so special. She is not looking for a perfect family, just the right one. Her only other request is a cat-free home, as cats are a hard pass for this girl.
