Mira

Mira is a sweet and brave German Shepherd mix who was found as a stray in the Central Valley. Upon arrival at the shelter, she was emaciated and diagnosed with diabetes. Thankfully, a kind volunteer stepped in, and Mira is now in foster care receiving the medical treatment she needs. Although she is almost totally blind, Mira navigates new environments with trust and courage, relying on her people for guidance. She gets along well with other dogs and is learning to coexist with cats. Mira is an intelligent, happy girl who adores attention and believes she's a lap dog!

Mira would thrive in a home where she can receive plenty of love and attention. Her near-blindness means she relies on her people to keep her safe, so a patient and understanding environment is key.
