Teddy

Teddy is approximately 3.5 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. His DNA test reveals a charming mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and three other breeds. When he was rescued, he was quite matted, and a full shave was necessary. His beautiful coat has now grown back, and he's a truly handsome boy who will require regular grooming. Teddy also had mature cataracts in both eyes. Thanks to successful cataract surgery and a few months of eye medication, he now enjoys excellent vision!

Teddy is a true lap dog, always eager to snuggle up with his foster. He gets along with most dogs, though he prefers calmer companions and can become snappy if other dogs try to steal his food while he's eating. We believe he would do best as an only dog or with an older, quieter canine friend. He's fairly well house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and loves car rides. Teddy is sure to be a wonderful companion for the right person.

Ideal Home

Teddy would do best as an only dog or with an older, quieter companion. He is not suited for homes with children under 8 years old and is looking for experienced dog owners.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has undergone successful cataract surgery on both eyes and is now on the mend with excellent vision.

Training & Support

Teddy can be protective of his food and may get snappy if other dogs try to eat from his bowl. He is fairly well house-trained but not perfect.

Transportation

Teddy is currently in foster care in Houston, Texas. Transportation to Glastonbury, CT, or Johnson, RI, is included in the adoption fee.
