CANO - sweet & calm

Meet Cano! He's a delightful little guy, around 16 lbs and 1-2 years old, with a scruffy charm that makes him look like a tiny gremlin. We think he might be a mix of Cairn Terrier, Westie, and Norfolk Terrier. While we can't guarantee he's hypoallergenic, he does shed very little, making him a great candidate for those with mild allergies. Cano is a calm and sweet companion, perfect for apartment living. He's a quiet dog, easily portable, and would likely enjoy accompanying you on subway rides, plane trips, or even brunch dates!

Cano is a friendly fellow who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He's currently being fostered with his twin brother, Blonde (also available for adoption!), and several other canine companions, proving his easy-going nature. We believe he was previously someone's pet because he's so outgoing and sweet!

Ideal Home

Cano would thrive in an apartment setting and would love an owner who enjoys taking him on adventures.

Ongoing Health

Cano has been seen by a veterinarian, is neutered, and is up-to-date on vaccinations. He is also heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Cano is an easy-going dog who already gets along well with other dogs. As with any new pet, he will need time to adjust to a new home and schedule, and a commitment to proper exercise and care.

Transportation

Cano is currently being fostered in Puerto Rico and will fly to his forever home once adopted. We can easily arrange in-cabin flights to many locations, including JFK, EWR, BLD, BWI, PHL, DCA, BOS, and IAD, and are open to adopters in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. Please inquire about transport to your specific location.
