Elmo

Elmo is a 10-month-old Great Pyrenees mix with a heart of gold and a resilient spirit. He came to us after an unfortunate injury, but thanks to the skill of specialists, his bullet is now safely encapsulated and not impacting his quality of life. He's a healthy, happy boy who loves his people and his furry friends, and his favorite pastime is simply relaxing on a comfy dog bed. Elmo is good with other dogs and has shown mild interest in cats, suggesting he might do well with cat-savvy kitties.

Ideal Home

Elmo would thrive in a home that understands he doesn't need to be an extreme athlete to be a wonderful companion. He'd prefer to skip the high-impact activities for now. He would do best with children over 10 or sturdy kids who understand he's not a pony and needs gentle care due to his past medical issue.

Ongoing Health

Elmo has a bullet lodged near his spine from a past injury. Specialists have confirmed it is encapsulated and attempting removal would be riskier than leaving it be. He is otherwise healthy and expected to live a long, happy life.

Training & Support

Elmo is still young and will grow into a large dog. His new family should be prepared for his size and continue to reinforce gentle handling.
