Atticus

Atticus is a charming mixed breed, around 45 pounds, who has overcome a challenging past with incredible resilience. He arrived from Mexico with significant injuries, including a fractured pelvis and leg that healed without professional medical care. While he's now pain-free, his gait might be a little unique due to how his bones healed. This may be why he cherishes soft beds and a warm, loving environment! Atticus is a happy soul who finds joy in watching squirrels and birds. You won't hear him barking at the bird feeder; instead, he'll calmly observe the activity from the couch, as if it's his own personal doggy TV. He enjoys snuggling on the couch and will happily join you for cuddles if invited. He also loves to sleep in his foster's bed, always finding room for himself, no matter how tight the space! Atticus is an intelligent dog who responds very well to training. He enjoys the company of other dogs and people, and he plays well with others. He is house-trained and crated when left alone, though he's progressing to more freedom. Atticus is a wonderful dog who truly deserves his own forever home.
