Whos tiny, white, curly, and extra fluffy? Well, that's Oscar for you! Oscar is a Maltese Chihuahua mix, around 3 years old and weighing about 15 pounds. He's a sweet boy who is learning the ways of the world and is eager to please. He's a pure lap dog with a heart full of love to give.
Oscar is currently in a loving foster home with seven other small dogs and is thriving. He's learning about toys and treats and has become quite playful. He's gentle with older dogs and even shares his food bowls with his foster siblings without any issues. He's a little cutie pie who loves to snuggle and is trusted to free-roam the house, sleeping in his foster mom's bed at night. Oscar enjoys soft surfaces like the couch or his cozy dog bed. He's happy to snuggle with new siblings and enjoys sitting on the porch, watching the evening sounds. He'll be your perfect morning coffee buddy, enjoying breakfast with you and watching the sunrise or sunset. Oscar is thankful to be saved and loves the simple things in life.
Ideal Home
Oscar would be best in a home with a yard, as he loves being outdoors. He's a bit timid and prefers to take things slow, so a calm and routine-oriented home is ideal. Older children who can understand and respect his boundaries would be best. While we haven't seen him with cats, we believe he would be okay with them, though he may want to play eventually. We can cat test him upon request.

Oscar is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track your pet's journey in real-time. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
