About Raven

Looking for the world's most patient puppy? Meet Raven.

Have you ever wondered if a dog can survive life with elementary-aged children and emerge happy, wagging, and asking for more? Raven has, and she's here to report that it's actually pretty great.

Ride around in a doll stroller? Absolutely.

Dress-up time in doll clothes? She considers herself fashion-forward.

Tea party guest? Present and punctual.

Raven has been thoroughly kid-tested under conditions that would make most adults question their life choices, and nothing rattles this girl.

She's currently living with two elementary-aged kids and a giant Newfoundland and gets along beautifully with everyone. She's met people of all ages, dogs of all sizes, and has apparently decided that everyone is her friend.

This adorable girl sports a tiny white patch under her chin, another on her chest, and one on a back paw—like she accidentally stepped in paint and decided it looked cute. Her fluffy big-dog coat is coming in with hints of brown on her head, adding extra charm.

Raven is smart as a whip and highly food motivated, which means she's convinced treats are a perfectly reasonable form of payment. She's working hard on potty training and making great progress.

She sleeps in her kennel at night and when her foster family is away. Occasionally, she files a formal complaint because she'd much rather be touching a human at all times. Her foster parents work from home, so she's rarely alone for more than five hours here and there.

Raven loves being outdoors. Rolling in the grass? Fantastic. Going for walks? Sign her up. Sitting outside just watching the world go by? Also acceptable. However, she appears to run a little warm. Shade, cool floors, and air conditioning are among her favorite inventions.

Fair warning: as she grows, Raven fully intends to become a permanent piece of furniture. She dreams of being a couch potato, bed warmer, movie-watching companion, and professional snuggler. If you're firmly in the "dogs belong on the floor" camp, Raven respectfully declines your application.

But if you're looking for a loyal best friend who thinks kids are magical, strangers are just friends she hasn't met yet, and being close to her people is life's greatest joy, then come meet Raven.
