Maizy

Maizy is a spirited French Bulldog/APBT/American Bully mix with an estimated DOB of 9/1/24. She's a smart cookie who already knows a remarkable list of commands including spot, sit, down, wait, heel, leave it, drop, out, recall, focus, speak, and more! Maizy is also potty trained, crate trained, and ecollar trained, thanks to a 2-week professional board and train program. She came to us around 8 weeks old when her previous owner could no longer keep her. Maizy is a highly trainable and overall good girl, though she does require ongoing training for resource guarding. She's a lot of dog in a little body and would thrive in an active home.

Ideal Home

Maizy would do best in a home experienced with bully breeds. She is highly active and has a high drive, making her a great prospect for dog sports like bitework, agility, or scentwork. Due to her resource guarding history, she would be best suited as a single dog or with a similar-sized, corrective dog that can match her play style. A home without small children, cats, or small dogs is recommended, unless a trainer feels the resource guarding is workable.

Ongoing Health

Maizy is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and dewormed. She has had a vet check for overall health. She does have allergies and is currently on a special diet.

Training & Support

Maizy requires ongoing training for resource guarding. She is highly trainable and would benefit from continuing to work on advanced commands and potentially participating in dog sports.
