Meet German, a sweet and friendly German Shepherd mix who captures hearts with his gentle and shy nature. At 2 to 4 years old, he is the perfect blend of cuddly and independent, making him an ideal companion for peaceful evenings at home or relaxing walks in the park. Despite his initial shyness, German quickly warms up to new friends, revealing his affectionate side. Adopting German means bringing home a loyal friend who will enrich your life with love and companionship.
Ideal Home
German can be tested with other dogs, and we encourage meet-and-greets with your dog before adoption. Cat tests are available if requested, but they only check for clear aggression. Always be careful when introducing dogs to cats. Young children should never be left alone with dogs, and we cannot guarantee how any dog will behave with kids or other pets.

Training & Support
Behavior seen in the shelter is just a snapshot and may change in a home. Dogs come from many backgrounds and may need training, time, and patience. Dogs should not be fed together unless you know they do not guard food. We also suggest learning about a dog's breed or mix to be sure it fits your family. Moving to a new home can be stressful for dogs. Use the Rule of 3 to help them adjust:
- First 3 days: Dogs may feel scared, tired, overexcited, or not want to eat.
- First 3 weeks: Dogs start learning routines and may show new behaviors. Keep things calm and avoid busy places.
- First 3 months: Dogs usually feel settled and more comfortable.
