Meet Sunny! He's a handsome 9-year-old, 70lb neutered pittie mix who brings joy everywhere he goes. True to his name, Sunny is a playful, goofy boy with a huge heart and an infectious enthusiasm for life. He's happiest when he's spending time with his people, whether he's giving kisses, showing off his tricks, or playing with his favorite toys. Sunny has been living with a professional trainer and has an excellent foundation in obedience, knowing commands like sit, down, stay, place, and several fun movement tricks. He's fully house-trained and crate-trained, settling nicely in his kennel at night for 6-8 hours. Because he's so food-motivated, he's eager to learn and enjoys continuing his training.
Ideal Home
Sunny has a moderate energy level and would love a home that enjoys daily walks, playtime, and including him in family activities. He walks well on a loose leash, although he can become excited when he sees other dogs and may pull or lunge in his eagerness to say hello, but quickly refocuses with calm guidance. He is playful and energetic with medium and large dogs but will need slow, proper introductions and continued guidance as he plays enthusiastically and doesn't always recognize when another dog is ready for a break. He'd do well with a balanced, tolerant dog, but would also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only. Sunny loves meeting new people and greets them with excitement—and sometimes a little too much enthusiasm! He can get mouthy when he's excited, so he'd do best with older, dog-savvy children (10+) who can help reinforce good manners and respect his boundaries. Sunny's ideal home is an active family or couple who will continue his training, provide structure, and shower him with the love and affection he thrives on.
Ongoing Health
Sunny is a neutered male and there are no ongoing health concerns noted.
Training & Support
Sunny has a great foundation in obedience and is eager to continue learning due to his food motivation. He can get mouthy when excited and may pull or lunge at other dogs when he sees them. Gentle redirection and continued training will help him refine these behaviors.
