Meet Robin!
Robin is a sweet 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, weighing around 85 pounds. He came to us from a hoarding situation and is still learning what it means to be loved and how to trust. Robin is a sensitive soul who prefers quiet observation over boisterous play. He takes his time getting comfortable with new people, places, and experiences, so he'll need an adopter with patience and understanding as he builds confidence and forms lasting bonds. When startled, Robin's instinct is to retreat to a safe space, but with consistency and kindness, he's blossoming beautifully. He truly shines around other dogs and has begun showing his playful side with his foster sibling. A confident resident dog would be a great asset in helping Robin navigate the world. Robin is a curious explorer, treat-motivated, and responds well to gentle guidance. He's not one to get into trouble, preferring to quietly observe and learn. We are currently working on helping Robin gain a little weight, and with good nutrition, he'll be the handsome boy he's meant to be.
Ideal Home
Robin would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and a patient, understanding adopter who will let him progress at his own pace. He would greatly benefit from a confident resident dog to help him build his confidence and a calm environment where he can continue to learn that the world is a safe place.
Ongoing Health
Robin is currently underweight and is being provided with good nutrition to help him gain weight.
Training & Support
Robin is treat-motivated, responds well to gentle correction, and has naturally good manners. He is still learning to trust and build confidence.
