Hickory

Hickory is a handsome 1-year-old German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix who recently graduated from Basic 1 Dog Training! He's a social butterfly who gets along with other dogs of all sizes, as well as cat-savvy felines. Hickory loves to play and romp with other dogs, and he's already mastered being potty and crate trained. He knows many commands like sit, down, stay, off, leave it, and wait. While he's still perfecting some of these, he's a quick learner, especially when a tasty treat is involved! Hickory has a tendency to chew on inappropriate items, but with redirection and the "leave it" command, he's learning what's off-limits. He can get a little vocal in public when excited, but he's eager to be a wonderful companion.

Ideal Home

Hickory would thrive in a home where his people are not gone for long periods of time during the day. He would also love to have at least one canine companion to play with. A secure 6-foot fence and children over 5 years old are required.

Ongoing Health

Hickory is a healthy boy who has been neutered.

Training & Support

Hickory has completed basic obedience training and knows many commands. He is learning to redirect his chewing with the "leave it" command. He can get vocal in public when excited.
