Meet Ashton! This handsome 4-year-old, 88-pound Yellow Labrador Retriever is a bundle of joy looking for his forever home. Ashton's world was turned upside down when his family moved, and he had to leave the only home he'd ever known. Despite the big adjustment, he's remaining a happy and energetic boy, taking everything in stride with a wagging tail. Ashton is a true fetch enthusiast, bringing the ball right back for another round. He thrives on activity and cherishes time spent with his people. While he's a strong boy who sometimes forgets his size, his sweet nature shines through. He's also shown himself to be a good friend to the other dogs here at the shelter. Ashton is truly a large guy with a big personality to match!

Ashton is currently heartworm positive and will be treated here at the shelter. He will need a family committed to keeping him on monthly heartworm prevention and ensuring he receives regular veterinary care to stay happy and healthy.

Ashton is a strong boy who doesn't always realize his own size. Continued positive reinforcement will help him understand his exuberance!
