Tuffy

Tuffy is a handsome 5-year-old, approximately 50 lb Pit mix who was surrendered to a city shelter because he wasn't neutered. Thankfully, a wonderful woman stepped in to save him, and he's now ready to find his forever home! Tuffy is a cuddly love bug who enjoys lounging on the couch and being close to his people. He's also very food-motivated and knows commands like "sit," "crate," and "out." Tuffy is great in the car, loves being outdoors, and adores his rope toy. He even falls asleep with the 14-year-old he lives with! You might catch Tuffy making a funny "protest" face where he shows his teeth, but it's never threatening, just amusing.

Ideal Home

Tuffy would do best in a home where someone is around a lot and can provide him with a few walks a day. He's a high-energy dog who needs to stretch his legs.

Ongoing Health

Tuffy is neutered.

Training & Support

Tuffy is housetrained and crate-trained. He walks well on a leash, though he can pull a bit initially due to excitement before settling in beside you. He is working on slowing down his eating and would benefit from a slow-feeder bowl.
