Rooster is a handsome, spirited 2-year-old dog, weighing 56lbs, possibly with some Belgian Malinois mix. He was rescued during a heavy rainstorm in a notorious dog-dumping area, but despite his rough start, this pup is full of life, love, and loyalty, just waiting for the right person to share it with. He's happiest when he’s outside, whether it's exploring trails, trotting alongside you on a hike, or just soaking up the fresh air. He thrives in nature and would love a home where he can spend plenty of time roaming, sniffing, and stretching his legs. Rooster is a protector by nature, with a strong instinct to keep his people safe. He loves kids and has been great with all of them he has met, melting into their pets. He gets along great with other dogs and loves to play, but he’s also perfectly content being the only pup in your life. He walks well on a leash and is eager to please. Rooster is looking for more than a home; he’s looking for a purpose, a partner, and a place to belong.
