Sham

Sham is an approximately 4-year-old Jack Russell terrier mix who is ready to bring joy and adventure into your life! He's a compact and sturdy boy, standing at 12 inches at the shoulder and weighing in at just under 15 pounds. Sham was found as a stray in northern California, and we're so glad he made his way to us! He's a happy and friendly pup who gets along wonderfully with his foster family's canine companions and is a delight with all people. Sham enjoys his walks and car rides, settling in happily for both. He's also house and dog door trained, though he may let out a brief whine when initially crated, he quickly settles down.

Ideal Home

Sham would thrive in a home that can keep up with his medium to high energy levels – hikers, this guy is for you! He needs a securely fenced yard to explore safely. Please note, Sham is looking for a home without cats and is not suited for apartment or condo living.

Ongoing Health

Sham is partially deaf, meaning he doesn't hear everything, but he is very responsive to sounds and noises he can detect. He's also incredibly receptive to learning hand signals, proving he's a very smart boy!

Training & Support

While Sham is a bright pup, he can be vocally reactive on leash around other dogs. We believe a good positive reinforcement training class would be incredibly beneficial for him to build his confidence and learn new ways to interact.

Sham is currently in a foster home in the Yakima area. For the right adopters, transport can be arranged anywhere in the Pacific Northwest.
