Meet Rio! Rio is a spunky young pup who looks just like an Oreo cookie with his adorable black and white markings, floppy ears, and a freckled snoot. He's a super fast learner who loves to train and will do just about anything for a tasty treat. Rio knows his name, sit, come, down, "rest" for cooperative care, and a hand target. He enjoys playing fetch and tug, but he is still working on sharing his toys. Rio also loves car rides and is working on not minding restraints. He's a lovable and active boy who doesn't mind bath or nail trim time, though he does occasionally enjoy being a couch potato. Rio's foster mom, a professional trainer, says he would do best in a home that enjoys entertaining antics and can provide extra guidance. He would be happy as an only dog or with a sturdy, chill dog friend who is not easily annoyed and can help correct his exuberant play style.

Ideal Home

Rio would do best in a home with a sturdy dog friend, his size or larger, who is patient and can help him learn appropriate play. He is not a good fit for homes with cats.

Rio is a healthy young pup.

Training & Support

Rio is working on his food guarding and sharing his toys. He is crate trained and is learning to be more comfortable with restraints during car rides. His foster mom is a professional trainer and is willing to provide guidance to his future family.
