• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• All household members should be present to meet dogs, especially those under 18 and any decision-makers.
• We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.

Transporation

Beckett is located at Chicago Animal Care and Control at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. The shelter is open daily from 12 pm to 7 pm. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30 pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30 pm will still be able to view animals until 7 pm.
