Hartley

Hartley is a three-year-old, 18 lb scruffy Terrier mix with a big heart and a whole lot of love to give. She came to us from a local shelter after being removed from a neglectful situation. While the other dogs found homes quickly, Hartley's fearful demeanor meant she was overlooked. Thankfully, one of our dedicated foster moms took a chance on her, and for the past three months, Hartley has had the chance to heal and decompress. She's made wonderful progress, but she's still a shy and quirky girl who will need patience, gentle handling, and time to adjust in her new home. Once she learns to trust, she'll shower you with affection and become your most devoted companion. When she feels safe, Hartley is calm and easygoing, readily seeking out attention from her trusted caregivers. She's housetrained, gets along well with other dogs, and loves her walks. Hartley is ready to be someone's couch buddy and best friend.

Ideal Home

Hartley would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with minimal foot traffic. She's a homebody and would be the perfect companion for someone who also enjoys the comfort and familiarity of staying home.

Ongoing Health

Hartley is fully vetted, including being spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming.

Training & Support

Hartley requires patience and gentle handling to build trust. Once she feels safe, she is calm and easygoing.
