Toby

Little Toby has come to town — and he’s ready for a fresh start filled with love and security. 💛

After his owner passed away in NC, Toby was left with a relative who kept him outdoors. Because of that, he’s now looking for a forever home where he can truly be part of the family as an indoor companion. Toby is wonderful with other dogs and appears to be okay with cats, too. He has experienced a lot of change in a short time, so he’ll need a patient adopter willing to give him time to decompress and settle in. Once he feels safe, his sweet and loyal personality shines. Toby is a delightful little companion with so much love to give. He’s simply waiting for the right person to give him the stable, caring home he deserves. Toby is a Wire-haired Fox Terrier / Norfolk Terrier mix, is 2 years old, and weighs 17 pounds.

Ideal Home

Toby absolutely loves to run and play, so a fenced yard would make his dream home complete! Because Toby was not previously around children, we are recommending an adult-only home at this time.

Ongoing Health

Toby is fully vaccinated, 4DX negative, and neutered. He is also microchipped.

Training & Support

Toby is mostly housebroken and crate trained. He does especially well in his crate at mealtime! Rainy days aren’t his favorite — he may need a little gentle encouragement to venture outside when the weather isn’t cooperating. Toby’s leash manners are excellent! He walks beautifully on a leash and truly enjoys his strolls. He’s also a perfect gentleman in the car, making him a wonderful companion for outings and adventures.
