Hi, friends! My name is Vinny, and I got to go on a Doggie Day Out-and it was AWESOME!
The adventure started with a car ride, which is one of my favorite things ever. I rode safely in the backseat, but I made sure to keep my head close to my volunteer's shoulder so she knew how happy I was. I couldn't stop smiling! After that, we went to her house, where I got to explore the yard and sniff all kinds of interesting smells. Then we headed to a park, and let me tell you, the grass felt amazing under my paws. I wandered around, taking in all the sights and scents, but every few minutes I had to go back for a hug. What can I say? I'm a pretty affectionate guy. One of my favorite parts of the day was sitting on the patio with my volunteer. I rested my head in her lap and just enjoyed being outside together. Even though I'm a 48-pound dog, I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be a lap dog. I also showed off my good manners! I walked nicely on my leash, stayed calm when I saw other dogs, and even ignored a cat I spotted in a neighbor's yard. I was much more interested in spending time with my human than chasing anything. If there's one thing I'd like everyone to know about me, it's that I love people. Being around humans makes me happy, and I love giving kisses, getting cuddles, and making new friends. My Doggie Day Out was a perfect 10 out of 10, but what I'd really love is a family of my very own to share adventures-and snuggles-with every day.
