Meet Amaya! She's a delightful Blue Heeler Mix, weighing about 6.3lbs, and was estimated to be born around March 19, 2026. Amaya's journey began on the streets, where she and her family were navigating life one day at a time. Thankfully, a kind volunteer intervened, bringing them to safety and offering this sweet girl the chance at the life she truly deserves.

Now that she's experiencing the joys of love, comfort, and security, Amaya is truly blossoming into the happiest puppy. She has an incredibly joyful spirit, a perpetually wagging tail, and a heart just bursting with affection. Whether she's joyfully bouncing around during playtime, enthusiastically chasing toys, or snuggling close for some much-needed cuddles, Amaya has a knack for spreading happiness wherever she goes. This adorable girl is learning every day that humans can be wonderfully kind, tasty treats appear regularly, and cozy beds are absolutely amazing. With each passing day, she grows a little more confident, a little more playful, and a lot more ready to find her forever family. • Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• An alteration contract needs to be signed by an adopter to complete the adoption.
• Adoption fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
• The listed breed is based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
• Adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
• All adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters.

Amaya is located in Houston, TX, and transport is included in the adoption fee.
