Alfie

Meet Alfie, a handsome 2-year-old Shih Tzu weighing 13 pounds who is ready to find a loving forever home. Alfie is a friendly, affectionate, and playful little guy who enjoys the company of other dogs and does well with children. He came to us after being owner surrendered from a hoarding situation. Because of his past, he may need a little extra time to adjust to a new environment, but once he feels safe, his sweet personality shines through. A patient family willing to give him the time and reassurance he needs will be rewarded with a loyal and loving companion.

Ideal Home

A patient family who can provide Alfie with the time and reassurance he needs to adjust to a new environment. He enjoys the company of other dogs and does well with children. His needs regarding cats have not been assessed.

Ongoing Health

Alfie is neutered, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee includes spay/neuter if over 3 months of age, rabies, bordetella, DHPP, and microchip.

Training & Support

Alfie is crate trained but will need continued guidance and consistency to become fully housebroken.

Transporation

Alfie is located in McAllen, Texas. He can be transported to the East Coast (NJ, NY, PA, CT, RI, VT, NH area) by a private transporter once adopted. Drop-off locations can be provided. Transport is not available to New York or Philadelphia at this time due to a USDA ban.
