Kangaroo

Meet Kangaroo, but his friends call him Roo! This adorable 9-month-old Yorkshire Terrier is ready to bounce his way into his forever home. Roo's favorite hobby is treasure hunting; he loves to collect toys into his own little stash. He sometimes decides that socks, slippers, or anything else he can carry also qualify as "treasure," so if you're missing something, check Roo's pile first!

Roo absolutely adores dogs and cats and must have another friendly dog in his forever home. Having a canine buddy helps him feel safe as he continues learning that life as a beloved pet is pretty amazing. Roo came to us after being surrendered by a commercial breeder, so the big world can still be a little overwhelming. New sights, sounds, and experiences are sometimes scary, but every day he's becoming a little braver. He's already conquered bath time and grooming like a champ, even if those noisy clippers are still a bit suspicious!

Ideal Home

Roo is looking for a patient family that understands confidence takes time, celebrates the little victories, and doesn't mind sharing their home with a tiny collector of misplaced treasures. He must have another friendly dog in his forever home.

Ongoing Health

Roo tested Lyme positive but has completed treatment and is doing well. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.

Training & Support

He's crate trained and making great progress with potty training.
