Leota

Leota is a sweet, snuggly, and playful 18-month-old Shepherd mix who came to us as a pup and has grown into a beautiful 80-lb adult. She is eager to find her forever home and would love a family to share her life with!

Ideal Home

Leota would do best in a home with another young, playful dog to be her companion. An active family that can keep up with her zest for life would be perfect. While she is good with kids 5 and up, a home with older children would be ideal, and if there are younger children, they should be taught to be gentle with her. She has not been exposed to cats, but her positive interactions with a new puppy and a new 2-year-old pug suggest she may do well with feline friends. An experienced big breed owner who understands the importance of continued training and socialization is a must.

Leota is a healthy young dog.

Training & Support

Leota is still learning about collars and leash training, which will need to be continued in her new home. She is currently potty-trained to an open sliding door in her foster home, but all puppies require ongoing potty training, and adopters should be prepared for this. Homes must be puppy-proofed and ready for adoption.

Leota is currently located in Maplewood, NJ. We are able to transport adopted pets to their new homes within a 3-hour radius of Maplewood, NJ.
