Meet Dakota!

Dakota is an 8 year old, 60 pound Terrier mix with a gentle heart and a remarkably resilient spirit. She was surrendered when her allergies became too much for her previous owners, arriving with hair loss and years of discomfort. With proper care, antibiotics, and daily allergy pills, she has healed beautifully — and her skin condition is not contagious. She is a calm, loving companion who enjoys treats, leisurely walks, car rides, and relaxing on a cozy blanket or bed. Dakota gets along well with other dogs, doesn’t jump on furniture, and prefers to spend her days quietly snuggled wherever you are. She has been in foster care for over a year, where she has continued to thrive with consistent care and affection. Dakota is a sweet, steady girl who has come a long way and is ready for a home that will give her the comfort, love, and stability she has always deserved.

Ideal Home

Dakota would love a home where she can relax and be close to her people. She gets along well with other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Dakota is heartworm negative, spayed, and fully vaccinated. She receives daily allergy medicine (Apoquel) and needs her ears and anal glands monitored due to her previous health condition. She has been allergy tested and most grasses are her triggers.

Training & Support

Dakota is house and crate trained. She doesn’t jump on furniture.
