Harley is a sweet 6-year-old, 55lb American Bulldog mix with a heart of gold and a story of resilience. She's endured a difficult past, having been left outside on a chain with limited food and care. Thankfully, a kind neighbor stepped in and brought her to safety, where she's now experiencing the love and comfort she deserves. Harley is incredibly grateful for her new life, enjoying regular meals and a warm place to sleep. She's a low to medium energy girl who loves to relax and cuddle, though she still gets excited on walks and sometimes forgets her own strength! Harley is house-trained and crate-trained, and while she's not food aggressive with humans, she does prefer to eat in her crate away from other dogs. She enjoys the company of calm dogs but would prefer a home without cats.
Ideal Home
Harley would thrive in a home that can provide her with a yard, though a basement apartment or townhome could also work. She prefers a calm environment and would do best with a family that understands her past and can offer patience and love. She'd prefer a home without cats.
Ongoing Health
Harley has no known ongoing health conditions. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Harley can be a bit of a food guarder, so she needs to eat in her crate, separate from other dogs. She also tends to pull on the leash during walks due to her excitement about being outside, so continued leash training will be beneficial.
