Chocolate Chunk

A tiny guy with a BIG personality, Chocolate Chunk, also known as Churro, is a true chihuahua through and through. He's full of confidence and love to give, loyal, hilarious, and will happily be your little shadow. His foster describes him as a "manly man" with no fear, featuring the cutest ear flap and a trot that will make you smile every day. Churro loves his people and is happiest by your side. He enjoys walks, lounging in the sunshine, snuggling, and, of course, treats! He's a smart little guy who loves his snuffle mat and is always ready for his next adventure. Churro enjoys running and playing with his chihuahua foster sibling, and they have become the cutest pair, sharing beds and the best dog bed. Churro is also a fantastic travel buddy and rides relaxed and happy in the car, ready to go wherever his person takes him. Churro joined us after being found as a stray at Contra Costa Animal Services.

Ideal Home

Churro does best with someone who understands his chihuahua nature – he has a big heart and some big opinions! He can be selective with other dogs and may need slow introductions. He's a little protective of his home space, but he loves meeting people when out and about and does wonderfully at events. He has also been great with children who respect his boundaries.
