Chief

Meet Chief, a gentle soul born on September 25, 2023, who is a charming Yorkie/Papillon mix searching for his very special person. Chief was returned due to challenges with housebreaking and is currently working through his fear of being outside and in a crate. He's already showing wonderful progress in a loving foster home, doing well when comfortably confined and beginning to understand pee pads. He's even starting to gain confidence by following the lead of other dogs and will now run outside with them! Chief is a sweet boy who loves to be close to his person and enjoys car rides, making him a wonderful companion once he feels secure.

Chief would truly thrive in a patient, understanding home, especially one with another confident dog to help guide him.

Ongoing Health

Chief is heartworm negative and up-to-date on his monthly preventative. His adoption fee includes vaccinations, microchip, and neuter.

Training & Support

Chief is working on housebreaking, his fear of being outside, and crate training. He is starting to understand pee pads and is fine wearing a belly band. He is showing progress by following the lead of other dogs. What Chief needs most is someone willing to go at his pace, celebrate the small wins, and help him build confidence through love and consistency.
