Dixie is a stunning 15lb golden brown Pomeranian mix gal, approximately 4 years old. When she first arrived, she was a bit shy, but she's blossomed into an absolutely adorable sweetheart in her foster home! Dixie loves to play and is an expert lizard chaser, so a securely fenced yard is a must for her adventures. She also enjoys leash walks and playtime with the other dogs in her foster home. After a good walk, she's happy to settle down with a chew toy. Dixie is looking for an active family who is home often and can provide her with regular grooming, which can range from $60 and up. She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up-to-date on preventatives.
Ideal Home
Dixie would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard due to her love of chasing lizards. She gets along well with dogs of similar size, but no large dogs please. She enjoys the company of children aged 12 and up who have experience with small dogs. She is not recommended for homes with cats as she is a "chaser."
Ongoing Health
Dixie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention.
Training & Support
Dixie is house-trained. She enjoys leash walks and is learning to socialize with children. Regular grooming is needed to keep her coat in good condition.

Transporation
Dixie is located in Largo, FL. VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove applications based on the dog's specific needs. If your application is approved, you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet Dixie.
