Juno is a stunning 4-year-old, 56-pound black female Labrador Retriever, full of life, love, and loyalty. She was initially adopted as a puppy but was returned to her family due to her previous owners not having enough time for an active young dog. Her current family also realized they couldn't provide the attention she needs to thrive and are looking for a home where she can be the focus of someone's affection. Juno is a wonderful dog who will undoubtedly make a great addition to the right family. She comes from AKC registered parents, inheriting a sturdy build and an athletic physique. Her unique signature is a small black birthmark on her tongue! Juno is potty trained, comfortable in a kennel environment, and enjoys roaming a spacious backyard. She knows basic commands like Sit, Down, Come, Shake, Stay, and Leave It. While she's a very devoted cuddle companion, she's also a teenager at heart and will investigate enticing smells on counters, requiring gentle redirection and consistency. She greets her favorite people with enthusiastic jumps and wiggles, but once settled, she's all about snuggles. Fetch is her favorite game, and she's well-socialized with large dogs after a proper introduction. She eats adult kibble and has experience living with other dogs, as her foster home regularly fosters and boards other pups.
Ideal Home
Juno would thrive in a home with an active, energetic owner who can match her enthusiasm and provide plenty of exercise. She needs patient hands that understand Labs take time to settle, and someone willing to redirect her counter-surfing habit with consistency and humor. A home with room to run and play is essential. She would do best with older children and is unsure about cats, but may be fine. A home with another dog is also suitable, provided that dog doesn't mind a very active companion.
Ongoing Health
Juno is a healthy, well-cared-for Labrador with no known medical issues. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations, on regular flea and tick prevention, microchipped, and in excellent physical condition.
Training & Support
Juno knows basic commands and has had training, but still needs help building confidence on leash. Her counter-surfing habit requires consistent redirection. Her new family should be willing to continue her training and help her settle in.
