Meet Lilo, a delightful 5-year-old mixed-breed with a heart full of love and a spirit full of play! She shares a special, unbreakable bond with her best friend, Nova, and these two inseparable companions are seeking a forever home where they can continue their journey together. Lilo is a sweet, affectionate, and alert girl who enjoys a good chase, especially if it involves mice! She's also a team player and responds enthusiastically to "get it girl." Lilo is friendly and loving with children she knows and has lived harmoniously with other dogs. She's also comfortable with people taking her food and toys.

Ideal Home

Lilo and Nova thrive together, so they must be adopted as a bonded pair. They would do best in a home that can offer stability, love, and patience. While Lilo is friendly with children she knows, her family asks that she not be placed in a home with small animals, as she has a strong prey drive and enjoys hunting.

Ongoing Health

Lilo has a metal rod in her back leg from a spiral fracture that healed beautifully about three years ago. She is doing well and has been under the care of a veterinarian at Stone Lake Animal Hospital in Elk Grove.

Training & Support

Lilo is crate-trained. While her potty training status is unknown, she is a smart girl who responds well to guidance. She can get excited when greeting visitors and may jump up, so continued positive reinforcement will help her learn to greet everyone calmly.
